St Pancras New Church, London

Signed open edition Giclée print on 230 gsm heavyweight paper.

In the heart of London, St Pancras New Church is unique for its four caryatid columns. Each caryatid holds a symbolic extinguished torch or an empty jug … appropriate for their position above the entrance to the burial chamber. These are vanitas symbols of death and the fleeting nature of life on earth. On the street, a young woman carefully poses for a selfie. She stands at the side of a damaged public telephone box. The beautiful Caryatid figures seem to hover above the woman, gently reminding her of the transience of life and earthly beauty.

This bold graphic print makes for a unique purchase for any art lover who is interested in a 21st Century approach to documenting this lively city. Perfect on its own or make it part of the series by teaming it up with a selection of other prints available in the range.

Each print will be signed and titled.

Printed on archival heavyweight 230gsm acid-free matt-coated paper using Epson’s UltraChrome HD inks, guaranteed for their longevity.

This image for the Giclee print was taken from a 600dpi scan of the original papercut, after which a vibrant Pop Art colour scheme was added to create a stylish series of contemporary prints.
